aMazing Masks

The children have been looking at styles of masks in art.
These masks are made with paper plates.
The brief for these masks was that they had to be symmetrical, and have a variety of textures and materials.

Now we will begin planning the masks we will make for our item at the end-of-year Celebration of Learning!

Have you ever made a mask?
What materials did you use?
What did your mask look like?

Rain in a Bag

This term's Big Idea is 'Water of Life'.
We are looking at this idea through a science focus.
One of our first experiments was to set up a
mini water cycle in a bag.

We put the bags on the window where the sun will (hopefully) shine on them.

If you look closely, you might see droplets of water on the inside of the bags.
This is called condensation.

How did the droplets of water get onto the sides of the bags?
Why are the droplets of water not blue like the water at the bottom of the bags?
